Cannot add TuneIn station

Hope this is the right place and you can fix it :)
A month or two ago our squeezebox radios started giving an error for one of the TuneIn streams. I finally went in deleted the favorite and attempted to re-add it. but it doesn't show up as an option :/
The station **IS** on the TuneIn website and I can find and add from the TuneIn app on my phone, and from the TuneIn app on our Rokus.

So I did some digging, in the hopes that you can help.

smile.fm website: https://www.smile.fm/ (They pretty much cover the lower peninsula of Michigan via repeater stations: https://smile.fm/about/stations.asp Pretty sure the master is 88.1 Lansing)

While TuneIn works on my phone app and the Roku - they chose to only show the station 'Smile FM' and the current DJ...

Finally I believe this is the old link that no longer works? http://opml.radiotime.com/Tune.ashx?...9&partnerId=16

I suspect that either:
a. somehow it got removed or something from the squeezebox list of stations?
b. those urls actually provide the app with many kinds of streams the app can request and smile.fm is no longer providing a content type that the squeezebox can decode.

If it is option b could you tell me what stream type they would need to turn back on?

also if LMS is required and will solve lemme know :) Thanks

Hello everyone,

I have been searching the forum threads for a few days but still can't find a solution to this issue, after many tries.

I am trying to install SqueezePlay on my two Windows laptops, to complement my Squeezebox Radios which are working fine and connected to my home Logitech Media Server 8.1.1.

On the two Win10 laptops, after installation When I start Squeezeplay I get the following screens:

1. Choose Language / Use the wheel to choose your language. Press the center button to go on.
=> English

2. Welcome / Let's get started by getting you conneced to your network and music.
=> Continue

3. Connecting to mysqueezebox.com
=> Problem Connecting

4. Problem Connecting / We couldn't connect to mysqueezebox.com. If this problem persists, please check Logitech Media Server to make sure it is running properly, and that you have a reliable network connection.
=> Try Again / Switch Library.

Since the message wasn't obvious I ran a wireshark capture and get this HTTP exchange which is much clear :

As far as I understood, my current Squeezebox account has my two registered Squeezebox Radios based on their MAC addresses, but can I start my SqueezePlay clients *without* connecting to MySqueezebox.com (I just need them to connect to my local LMS Server) ? A year ago or more, I had the same setup and my SqueezePlay and iPeng clients were visible on my MySqueezebox.com account along with my Radios and Duet.

problem finding my devices on MSB.com

I have here 4 radios (2 SB/2 UE) and 2 Touches.

On MySqueezebox.com under "players" 4 radios and 2 touches are displayed, but one of the radios (my 5th) is now my daughters and 40 miles away.
One of my 4 radios (SB), isn't displayed and I've been trying to add it.

Suddenly, all the devices disappeared! But, if I go into the "remote control" I find them.

I can't imagine how they disappeared and think I have to register them again perhaps? But I'm stymied on that as well! Help for the radio takes me to some damned logi site I have no familiarity or PW for!

That site seems like all about newer stuff/no SB radios etc. Neither of my PW work. SITE ASKS FOR MY "logi" PW? If I try creating an account, it blocks me stating I have an account! Do I need to get into this site??

HOW CAN I ADD OR REMOVE DEVICES ON MSB.COM?


In LMS, V 8.2.0, -0-devices are recognized; in UEMS, that page is blank.

Fortunately, a long list of jazz stations remains in "favorites"!

Maybe it always worked like this; maybe not!

I added an App from within my MySB.com account, and it now shows up there in MY APPS. I thought it would automatically show up on the MY APPS list in any given LMS-connected player, in due course.

But I'm finding that I have to switch each of the players to MySB.com for the new app to populate to the player, and then switch the players back to LMS for normal use, when the new App now does appear in MY APPS.

Is that the way it's supposed to work?

Is this a known issue ?

Could barely get connected to R4 this evening via one of my Booms (even after reconnecting to the house wifi via Boom setup).

Tested it with Deezer via MySB.com and worked fine.

I'm based in the UK.

It is to be regretted that Logitech, having bought Slim Devices, failed to follow through with continued development on a product range that could have been Sonus beater.

That is all history, and at least Logitech put LMS in the public domain, and many fine developments continue at the hands of some talented and committed enthusiasts. We all owe them thanks.

I wonder, though, how dependent we are on the continued good will of Logitech? The latest stable version of LMS (managed by the public domain community) is available for download from the remaining Logitech Squeezbox website although I think is is available elsewhere, so there is a continuing communication between Logitech and the Squeezebox community.

To get to my question: a MySqueezebox registration seems to be needed when using LMS, old official Squeezeboxes and newer Squeezebox clones. If Logitech were to cut us adrift, what are the implications? What other prerogatives do Logitech retain over the system we love and use?

Cannot connect mysqueezebox.com until reboot

SSH timeout - no connection

In my Squeezebox (based on Logitech UE Smart Radio hardware), I enabled remote login with SSH. And yet the connection attempt always times out. Yes, I've got the correct IP address, I checked with my router to be sure. I can readily SSH into other devices in my house, just can't login to the squeezebox.
Any ideas?

Tidal and replaygain

I have just taken advantage of the 90 days for £1 offer for Tidal Hifi. Everything seems to be working apart from volume normalisation. The Spotty plugin has a check box to select normalisation but the Tidal plugin does not and it seems to use the "Default Adjustment for Remote Streams".
The problem is that the Tidal streams seem to have Album Gain applied as a default so after applying the default adjustment (-7 in my case) the volume is far too low.
The only way to have Tidal streams at the same volume as local FLAC files is to change the default adjustment for remote streams to 0 resulting in Radio streams being too loud.
Turning off replaygain isn't the answer either as the Tidal streams will still be too quiet.
Turning off normalisation on the Tidal app seems to make no difference.
Do other Tidal users have the same experience?

It really depends on the service, sometimes even on the person on the
other side. The move from WiMP to TIDAL was something my partner really
wanted to see. But he left the company a few years ago...

Pandora om MySB: does it run via MySB servers?

Years ago (2007), Pandora went 'USA-only'. Still miss it. Now I'm old enough to try to get Pandora working while on MySqueezebox. (So no local LMS.)

Let's say I have an additional ip address that Pandora approves, would it be possible to tunnel the Pandora traffic over that ip? Or does MySqueezebox send the registration-details with IP to Pandora? The latter would make tunneling useless, as the initial connection comes from the untunneled route.

[Reading up on other Pandora-related topics. Will post links to what helped to solve it.]

Hello together

Am I seeing this correctly that this is not working?

Error: file can not be opened...

AAC 320 etc are working.

Since my server is currently only running through a PC ( since my qnap NAS does not support the current server version) I would like to listen through my squeezbox and the touch in flac.

Anyone have a tip?

Tidal Search on LMS in Android

In LMS I cannot search on Tidal anymore on my smartphone. When for instance I give in an artist name in the search field and press Enter, the cursor just goes to the next field... and stops at the last field. In every browser, I suppose a recent LMS-update interprets the search-fields the wrong way. Annoying though, I have to start up my Windows-machine to search now.

Hello

Going to Deezer now takes one directly to a limited selection of “Smart Radio” channels.
One can no longer search for artists and or albums and then browse albums or tracks as on the Deezer app itself.

Do you have the same problem?

Adding a podcast to mysqueezebox.com

I still connect to Mysqueezebox.com for Favorites and Podcasts on my Squeezeboxes. I have always had difficulty adding new podcasts when using mysqueezebox's built-in search feature. Is there a way to obtain the podcast URL from the search function? Here is an example of the steps I take to search: 1. Log on to mysqueezebox from my PC 2. Select REMOTE CONTROL 3. Select PODCASTS 4. Select INTERNET RADIO 5. In the SEARCH field, enter the podcast (car talk, for example) and click SEARCH 6. Several podcasts are listed. click one and 'Recent Episodes' is displayed 7. clicking on Recent Episodes brings a list of the podcasts. My question is: Using this search procedure How do I add the PODCAST to my PODCAST app on mysqueezebox.com? I know that there is a good possibility that if I go directly to Car Talk from my PC I probably will find some mention of the URL to get there, but I find that now this information is becoming scarce as many want me to install an app or play direct to my PC (or smartphone) and provide no other way to connect.
